My Inspiration

Although I had worked out for years, it was not until the summer of 2009 when I trained for a figure fitness competition that I realized the benefits of healthier eating and exercising daily. My body transformed and I became tone in less than 3 months. Then, in 2013, I realized the importance of eating whole foods and healthy snacks when after 8 years or more of chronic stress in my personal life, my immune system deteriorated. I was sick more than I was healthy, and I had to resign from my job. I hit rock bottom emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It was time to make a change – in every area of my life.  I needed a change in my thoughts and attitude, as well as, in my lifestyle.

I consulted a doctor who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods. He put me on a diet of whole foods, increasing my amount of salad, vegetables (raw and cooked), fruit, beans, and whole grains, while decreasing my red meat and dairy. As a direct result, my allergies and migraines disappeared, and slowly, my immune system was being repaired. Unfortunately, although I got healthier, it was not a diet I could sustain. I do not enjoy eating salad, especially not as two of my main meals. In addition, I love my steak and burgers and to cut down from eating close to one pound per day to one quarter of a pound per week, does not work for me. No one diet works for everyone. My body requires protein at every meal. I am still in the process of having fun experimenting with different foods to find what healthy foods I enjoy and which foods satisfy my hunger. Each day, I am getting closer to finding a lifestyle of healthier eating that works for me.

I want lifestyle of eating nutrient dense foods that enjoy and reap the benefits of. I want to look and feel my best. I want to enjoy life to the fullest! I want a career that I love and one that is not stressful. I want to use my gifts and talents to do what I am created for.

The combination of changing my thoughts and creating positive mindset with goals and action steps to achieve my goals, along with healthier eating, and exercising daily, has been life changing for me. I am now creating the life I desire. It is for this reason, that I developed and am so passionate about my “HEED” PLUS program. I know it changes lives – mine being the first! I want to share my success with You and have Your life changed too.  I want You to be empowered! You will be forever changed!
